I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I don't know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading what you all have to say.

Sen. Barrios:

Excuse my spelling
Dear Sen. Barrios I am of Latin desent, and I'd like to make a coment on your trip to Cuba. First, I think Cubin people are of fine origin, they are smart, loyal, and loving people, very well respected in my eyes.
But, to me as an Ameican, that all people should be treated well,I myself dont think you as an Ameican, or any other American should be making trips to a Comunist country.I feel your part as a senitor, should be more a tuned to whats going on in our home state. Gang violance, better care form our elderly, property taxes, and heating oil and gas prices that takes a bite our our every day living and ect. and for one I thought it was illigal for an American to go to Cuba. Please help our poor childen and hungry people who live not to far from our homes. Help our citys who you know all need your help. remember "Home is where your heart is " If your heart is in Cuba you have no right as our Senitor .

Alas Senator Barrios. I too have cousins in Cuba. Calle Rabi, entre Coco y Encarnacion. Although this was not known to me back in the good old days of the early 90's. May your trip be successful.
Cheer mate!
